The Mombasa Ocean Festival returns for its fifth edition from 18 to 20 June 2026, bringing with it a packed programme of science, culture, music and community action rooted in a shared commitment to the ocean.
Now in its fifth year, the Festival has grown into a strategic platform for regional ocean advocacy. Strategically aligned with the 11th Our Ocean Conference, we aim to bring together national and international officials and stake holders, civil society, artists, activists, students, scientists, entrepreneurs and private sector.
Alliance Française de Mombasa is proud to bring the whole coastal community together, highlighting the kind of collective teamwork required to tackle tough marine challenges.
Mombasa Ocean Festival 2026 will also be a celebration!
This 5th anniversary edition will also serve as one of the highlights of EU in Kenya @50, a launch of EU Sinema Mtaani itinerary cinema project and will end with a beautiful Fête de la Musique concert!
A programme you will not want to miss.
The Mombasa Ocean Festival is a free, public multi-day initiative. The majority of events are open to the community, with specific sessions designed for school audiences, researchers, innovators and families. Most of the events are open to all. The poster indicates whenever reservation is needed.
