As a festival dedicated to digital arts and DIY modeled along the lines of A-maze & Naiccon in Nairobi, “HOLY BITS” intends to honor the cultural and creative industry at the coast and the artistic community that animates it, be it independent, nascent or already structured. This festival complements the initiatives already in place (Pwani Innovation Week, TUM Innovation Week), while differentiating itself by its ambitious cross-cutting nature: virtual reality, robotics, 3D printing, video games, animated films and conferences/debates. It will also have the advantage of draining with it all the experience of the Frenchtouch in this field. The festival aims to be an interdisciplinary and collaborative platform for independent, alternative or experimental playful creations. But more than that, it is also a space for networking, exhibitions and exchanges on subjects that influence and inspire creators, allowing them to question the present and the place of the human being in the rest of the living world.
